Did You Work On You Today!

Hello Lovely People,

In my quest to be consistent, I am actually typing this post via my cell phone. What a way to get my practice in,  using two fingers. LOL.

So, how was your day? Mine was ok, other than getting my workout in, I feel that I was not as productive as I could have been. However, I will not beat myself up about it, instead, I will strive to do better tomorrow.

Have you ever had one of those days when it seems as though the only thing u actually got accomplish was waking up and getting your workout in?  I’ m not complaining though, I am actually thankful that I was able to carve out some time for myself, to do something that is vital for my health and important to me.

When you think about it, that is the formula for working out. It’s primarily setting time aside to get in touch with yourself, to gain perspective and to contribute to your health and wellness. So, of course, you probably know what my next question is going to be and that is, “Did you work on you today?”

I hope you did or at least still have it on your “To Do List” for this evening. Until tomorrow, here’s wishing you a peaceful, and exciting evening.

6 Exercises That Will Burn Calories in Overdrive!

Are you one of those people who wake up to hundreds of emails a day?  Ugh! It’s the worst, but fortunately, there are some good things that come out of being overly popular (via email that is) such as receiving discount coupons, the update on fashions and beauty products, yummy recipes and workout tips.  Yesterday (as I am late in posting for Workout Wednesday), I received an email from MyFitnessPal on Workout Challenges.

This particular email offers 6 different exercises you can do to burn calories in overdrive, such as:

1.  Dumbbell, Squat, Curl, Press

2.  Kettlebell Goblet Squats with Heartbeat and Press

3.  Death Crawls

4.  TRX Atomic Pushups

5.  Dumbbell Walking Lunges & Plunges

6.  Kettlebell Swings & Pushups

I wish you success with any of the exercises you may choose, until next week.  Lois

WTF (Where They From) Missy Elliott ft. Pharrell Williams

I am one of those people who extends their workout after two weeks.  It has been my experience that my body tends to get quite familiar with my routine after two weeks.  You ever noticed that you seem to finish what started out like a very difficult regiment and it turns into normality within a week and you find yourself doing your workout quicker?  You know what I mean, right? As opposed to your workout lasting for 45 mins, it drops down to 30mins. and you applaud yourself, as you should, but why stop there?  Add more time to your running, or increase the number of exercises you do to get back up to the amount of time you have designated to your workout regiment.  And when it gets to the point where you find yourself struggling, put on that power song, to help you get through it.

This is my go to power song, what’s yours?
