Fashion Subscriptions…Yay or Nay?

What’s Your Favorite Way To Shop?

Image result for images of food subscriptionsTo say that the internet has taken the world by storm is an understatement.  More and more people are turning to the internet to do their shopping for almost everything.  There are sites for people to do their food shopping (including daily meals), purchase their perfume, purchase their pet clothing and pet items, shoe sites, make-up and accessories sites, athletic wear sites and fashionable items.

Related imageThe fashionable sites come equipped with your own stylist and range at prices from $10 – $100 and up monthly.  The monthly fees cover your stylish’s tab and you are shipped a box of stylish clothes in which you choose and pay for what you like and return that of which you do not.  Most of the subscription sites offer free shipping and your orders include a return label, so returns are also free.

Finding myself curious about the fashion sites, I did some research and was a little surprised that the fees were quite reasonable, but as I mentioned, they only applied to stylish or membership fees. Silly me.  Continuing my research, I actually went to the Nordstrom subscription page and signed up.  I found out that one is asked a series of questions in reference to style (by way of different styles of clothing match up together), then comes sizes of blouses, pants, and shoes, there is also a category of which styles one prefers, (Business Formal, Business Casual, and one other but I forget what it was).  Then I came a  series of items such as a purse, pants, and shoes and the question how much do you normally spend for each.  It was Nordstrom the lowest price was $50-$100, which I left blank, pressed continued, where I was introduced to my stylist.  Now I know that getting a subscription with Nordstrom is definitely not in my budget.  🙂

There are many others to choose from, and to help you along, should you choose to try your hand at subscribing.  I found this wonderful article entitled: “32 Best Women’s Clothing Subscription Boxes,” written by Anna and can be found at

This article is very informative, so give it a look-see and decide whether a fashion subscription is for you.  Until later…LP

Fashionable Shoes

Hello Again,

Fashion Friday is one again upon us and I think you are going to pretty happy with today’s postings. It’s all about the shoes!!!  I have to tell you I came upon this incredible find by accident.  You see I went onto, “The Zoe Report,” (my go-to place for fashion advice) and there was this article entitled, “The Only 5 Shoes You Need for Spring,” which I was going to bypass because I wanted a nice selection.  Lucky for me I did, there are  5 examples, of Low Heels, Slip On Sandals, Mules, Satin Styles, and Platforms! A great find, don’t you agree? Enough of the chitter chatter, let’s get to the shoes!

Now that you’ve seen the collection, which is your favorite? Mine are the kitten heels, I don’t have pretty feet, so any shoes with the toes out are not my favorites. Plus the fact that I am pretty tall, so I don’t like to go above, 2 1/2 inches as well.

To find out more information on the above shoes, just click on the title link, (2nd link) and you’ll get the name of the shoe, descriptions, and price.  Happy Hunting, Lois
