Are You “Ready For It?”

Good Morning and Happy Sunday to ya!  Thought I would start the day off with a song by Taylor Swift.  Gotta say that this young woman continuously surprises me with her incredible talent.  “Ready For It,” is a song that caught my attention immediately after hearing it for the first time, the music the beats were what pulled me in.  I then went to YouTube to check out the video and was equally impressed.  I thought this would be fitting since tomorrow is Monday and the most dreadful day of the week. LOL!

Fashion Subscriptions…Yay or Nay?

What’s Your Favorite Way To Shop?

Image result for images of food subscriptionsTo say that the internet has taken the world by storm is an understatement.  More and more people are turning to the internet to do their shopping for almost everything.  There are sites for people to do their food shopping (including daily meals), purchase their perfume, purchase their pet clothing and pet items, shoe sites, make-up and accessories sites, athletic wear sites and fashionable items.

Related imageThe fashionable sites come equipped with your own stylist and range at prices from $10 – $100 and up monthly.  The monthly fees cover your stylish’s tab and you are shipped a box of stylish clothes in which you choose and pay for what you like and return that of which you do not.  Most of the subscription sites offer free shipping and your orders include a return label, so returns are also free.

Finding myself curious about the fashion sites, I did some research and was a little surprised that the fees were quite reasonable, but as I mentioned, they only applied to stylish or membership fees. Silly me.  Continuing my research, I actually went to the Nordstrom subscription page and signed up.  I found out that one is asked a series of questions in reference to style (by way of different styles of clothing match up together), then comes sizes of blouses, pants, and shoes, there is also a category of which styles one prefers, (Business Formal, Business Casual, and one other but I forget what it was).  Then I came a  series of items such as a purse, pants, and shoes and the question how much do you normally spend for each.  It was Nordstrom the lowest price was $50-$100, which I left blank, pressed continued, where I was introduced to my stylist.  Now I know that getting a subscription with Nordstrom is definitely not in my budget.  🙂

There are many others to choose from, and to help you along, should you choose to try your hand at subscribing.  I found this wonderful article entitled: “32 Best Women’s Clothing Subscription Boxes,” written by Anna and can be found at http://urbantastebud.com/best-womens-clothing-subscription-boxes/

This article is very informative, so give it a look-see and decide whether a fashion subscription is for you.  Until later…LP

Getting My Workout In!

I use to be very diligent in maintaining my workout regiment, but for many months now I have fallen off of my routine until recently.  Along with returning to my regiment, I have also begun reading everything I can get my hands on about working out, from which exercises are the best for my problem areas to listening to podcasts about which foods are good or not good to eat, and finding sm app on my phone  to help me along my journey in losing weight and looking good.

I have come across and have started using the “Lose Weight in 30 Days,” app by Simple Design Ltd.  There are so many apps to choose from but this particular app was the “Editors’ Choice,” so I decided to give it a try.  Thus far I like it because not only does it give you daily exercises to follow, it talks to you which makes me feel like there is a personal trainer in the room with me.  Not only that but it also comes equipped with meal plans, calendar to track your progress, no equipment is necessary, and it keeps track of the days in which you’ve workout, along with the duration and how many calories you burned per workout.  Below I posted a copy of what the app looks like in case you want to give it a try.

This app is compatible with all of your devices.

What I like most about this app is that it does not try to kill you, it gradually takes you to the next level.  The exercises are not the same every day, and I don’t feel overwhelmed, nor have I come across exercises that my body aren’t able to do.

Good luck with your regiment.  If you have found an app that is great, please do share. LP
